Ownership of Jewellery Goods
Payment Requirements
Ownership of jewellery goods does not transfer to the customer until:
Full payment for the product has been completed.
Any cheque or bank transfer funds have been fully cleared into our account.
Until payment has been confirmed and cleared, the jewellery remains the property of Dhunna Jewellers.
Return and Refund Policy
General Return Conditions
Gold jewellery cannot be returned after 24 hours from the point of sale. Customers are encouraged to choose jewellery carefully before making a purchase. For returns requested within 24 hours, the following conditions apply:
- Proof of purchase must be provided.
- The item must not have been worn.
- The jewellery must remain unused and unaltered.
- The item must be returned in its original packaging with certificates.
All returns are subject to inspection by our Quality Assurance team before a refund is processed. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the purchase.
Definition of As New Condition
Product Condition Requirements
To qualify for a return, the jewellery must be in As New Condition.
This means:
- The jewellery has not been worn.
- There are no scratches or damage.
- There are no visible signs of wear.
The final determination of whether an item meets this condition is made by Dhunna Jewellers.
Custom and Special Orders
Handmade Jewellery Orders
Special orders and jewellery pieces that are handmade according to customer specifications are not eligible for return or refund.
Because these pieces are custom-made, they cannot be resold once completed.
Refund Calculations
Gold Jewellery Returns
If gold jewellery is returned within the allowed timeframe, the refund will be calculated as follows:
- 12% deduction from the gold rate
- Making charges (labour costs) are not refundable
Precious Stones and Studded Jewellery
For jewellery containing precious stones, pearls, or studded designs:
- Up to 45% of the purchase price may be deducted when calculating the refund.
Proof of purchase is required for all returns.
Silver Jewellery Policy
Return and Warranty Conditions
Silver jewellery cannot be returned after 24 hours from purchase.
Additionally, silver jewellery does not include any guarantee or warranty.
Jewellery Care Guidelines
Precious Stones and Studded Jewellery Precious stones, pearl jewellery, studded jewellery, and rhodium jewellery require careful handling.
Stones may become loose or fall out due to rough use. Customers are advised to:
- Avoid wearing jewellery during heavy work.
- Handle jewellery carefully to avoid damage.
There is no guarantee or warranty for precious stones, studded jewellery, pearl jewellery, or rhodium jewellery.
22ct Gold Jewellery Care
22ct gold is a high-purity gold metal, which makes it softer than other gold types. Customers should wear 22ct jewellery carefully because excessive force may cause damage or breakage. If repairs are possible after inspection, they may be completed at an additional repair cost, and no guarantee or warranty will apply to repaired items.
Hygiene and Safety Restrictions
Non-Exchangeable Jewellery Items
Certain jewellery items cannot be exchanged due to hygiene and safety reasons.
These include:
- Nose Pins
- Earrings
These items cannot be exchanged even if returned within 24 hours. However, Dhunna Jewellers may buy earrings back after inspection, but the making charges will be forfeited.
Consumer Rights
Australian Consumer Law Compliance Dhunna Jewellers complies with rights provided under Australian Consumer Law and applicable state legislation. Policy Updates
Changes in Terms and Conditions Dhunna Jewellers reserve the right to modify or update these terms and condition at any time. Customers are responsible for checking the most recent version of the policy. After 24 hours of the date the product was received, requests for returns are not accepted.
